Swinging
Defined
The
modern definition of swinging is recreational form of social sex
that occurs between two or more consenting adults. Typically speaking,
most of the swinger encounters include couples that are male and
female that meets with another male and female couple for the purpose
of sexual intercourse or obtaining an intimate friendship that is
ongoing. However, swinging can also be categorized as threesomes,
foursomes and even more. In general, it is the “swapping of
partners”, sometimes also called "wife swapping".
Additionally,
swingers are not always couples with couples. Occasionally, and
more so everyday, single men or women will meet with couples for
the same purposes. The swinging lifestyle comes in various different
forms. When it comes to “Swingers Clubs”, each club has
their own rules and regulations. For example, some clubs will generally
allow single women into the club with no problems, however, single
men are rarely accepted and that rule tends to be varied from venue
to venue.
The
same is true when it comes to the topic of bisexuality. Typically,
bi-sexual females are widely accept into the swinging community,
whereas, bi-sexual males, again their acceptance is dependant upon
the club and their regulations.
There
are two general types of swinger clubs to be aware of. The first
type is on-premises swing clubs. On premises swing clubs, allow
for sexual interaction with patrons within the club. What this means
is that people within that particular club may engage in various
sexual activities while attending that event. In general, they provide
areas and various sexual aids and protections that allow you to
fully enjoy the experience.
The
other type of club is known as off-premises swinger clubs. These
do not allow for sexual interaction within the club. In other words,
for off premises swing clubs people typically, after meeting and
agreement, would leave the event and engage in their encounters
either at a home of one of the party’s or in a hotel room.
The
swinging lifestyle has been around for many, many years. Traditionally
swingers have been classified as middle classed citizens who appear
to the general public to be middle classed and worthy of respect.
Swinging is most often a secret lifestyle for couples, and they
wish to remain anonymous, and rightly so. The general public is
not very accepting of the swinging lifestyles. Studies have found
that non-swingers assume that those involved in the swinging lifestyle
are upper classed political liberals. They also make an assumption
that a major majority of swingers abuse alcohol and illegal drugs.
People
enjoy the swinging lifestyle for various different reasons, which
we will discuss further in later articles. Some of the reasons include
having various sexual partners as well as experiences. They also
include pleasure and excitement, as well as increasing their social
life. People have also stated they like the swinging lifestyle because
they learn various new techniques, triumph over sexual inhibitions,
as well as recapturing their youth.
